ロイヤルコペンハーゲンの名作BACAシリーズ・フラワーベースです。バッカシリーズのフラワーベースは抽象的に動植物をダイナミックに描かれる今年が多いです。しかし、こちらの作品は写実的に動物や草木を描かれているのが非常に珍しく、シリーズの中でもほとんど市場に出回りません。白の陶磁器に写実的に描かれたつがいのキジをダークブラウンの濃淡で全体の構図を表現しており、水墨画のような雰囲気があります。ニールズトーソンの作品にはジャポニズムを感じさる構図を良く目にします。また、こちらの作品には全体の構図をグレーで描いているものも存在感し、カラーリングが違うだけで全くちがう表情の作品になっております。是非、お手に取って感じてみてはいかがでしょうか？

Nils Thorsson
ニルス・トーソンは、スウェーデン生まれのデザイナー。主にデンマークの陶磁器メーカー「ロイヤルコペンハーゲン」の絵付け師として活躍し、主に「テネラ」、「バッカ」シリーズなどを手がけた。アール・デコ博覧会とも呼ばれる1925年のパリ万国博覧会でゴールドメダルを受賞。
