※1934年にアイルランドで創業。自社工場にて、独自の伝統的なハンドメイド技術により長きにわたり靴作りを行い、1967年にはハンドステッチでフルモカシンの画期的なシューズを考案し、イギリスのCLARKS社へ提案。Padmore & Barnesは、CLARKS社より、イングランド製で販売していたワラビーやナタリーなどの代表的なモデルの制作を請け負ってきました。後に、CLARKS社がコスト上の問題から生産をアジア圏に移しながらも、『Padmore & Barnes』の名義でCLARKS時代の往年の名作をはじめとするオリジナルデザインの靴を変わらず生産し続けることで伝統を守り続け、そのデザイン性、また確信と生産技術の先駆者として国際的に高い評価を得ています。
